Sakania Village

10.03.2010

When monetary gifts are sent out for sakania Village it enables us to treat the children to a fantastic day out. some of the children have never been out of the village before and even though they are so excited they are well behaved and thankful. it's a very humbling experience. on the last trip we treated each of them to a tub of ice cream on they way home. some of them put the tub in their goody bags to bring home. they didn't realise that it would melt as they have never eaten ice cream before!

sakania kids

hatWe visit Sakania Village every Monday afternoon to teach the children Bible stories, sing songs and play games. We’ve been visting Sakania for almost seven years now. The children are fantastic.

uniformWe provide for about 30 children to go to school. We buy their uniform and books and pay for their school fees. The cost is approximately £20 per child. Please contact us if you would like to support a child in this way.

football

Many thanks to Finaghy Primary School who sent football kits for the children. Don’t they look great!

prizes

The Ulster Temple sent a team of 34 people in July 2008. They left behind lots of shoes and the children in Sakania loved them.

We had a great time giving the children Christmas presents. The girls were very excited to receive dolls and the boys loved their toy cars.
